“Since 2003, I have been dedicated to the professionalization of supervisory governance. The knowledge and insights we have developed over the years enable us to define the role of the non-executive director more clearly and to better align our work with the needs of both current and future board members. Connecting with people and understanding their motivation to serve as supervisors continues to inspire me. I find great value in bringing people together, motivating them, and offering opportunities for growth within their development as supervisory professionals. I am also deeply fulfilled by the process of devising, designing, developing, and launching new programs. I am proud of the increasing diversity we see in boardrooms today: more women and more individuals with non Western backgrounds are finding their way into supervisory roles. This has been one of our main goals from the very beginning, now more than twenty years ago: to create a more inclusive and multifaceted boardroom. Although we have taken significant steps forward, opportunities remain. Achieving even greater diversity across all sectors would be a valuable next milestone. We are moving toward a supervisory landscape that reflects the full breadth of society, one that is stronger, more equitable, and more future-proof as a result. Together, we are taking the steps that truly make a difference and that will continue to strengthen supervisory governance for years to come.”
